The Memorial Trail of Honor is a joint effort of a number of individuals and organizations in Harrison County.
The trail itself opens May 21st following a number of events culminating in a Ribbon Cutting. The trail includes 17 stations with interpretive panels on each war and conflict Hoosier have been involved in, solemnly placed along a quiet wooded trail within the park.
There will be a live in the park concert at 4 pm Sunday the 21st. For 8 days the trail will be open 8 am to 8 pm with volunteers in attendance to talk with guests and share the special book that lists the fallen. Sunday the 27th, candles will be placed by the 3719 flags representing the Hoosier fallen, remaining lit through the evening into Memorial Day. Everyone is invited to walk the trail and remember this evening.
